India Urges All Its Citizens to Leave Pakistan Immediately
Indian Foreign Ministry Continues Travel Advisory Amid Tensions with Pakistan Following Attack on Pilgrims in Kashmir,Urges Citizens to avoid Pakistan
According to a report by the English section of Webangah News Agency,citing sources from the Indian Ministry of External Affairs,India has reiterated its travel advisory for citizens amid escalating tensions between New Delhi and Islamabad following an attack on a group of pilgrims in Indian-administered Kashmir.The ministry has urged all Indian nationals to avoid traveling to Pakistan and advised those currently in Pakistan to leave immediately.The Indian Foreign Ministry stated: ”In light of the security committee’s recommendations after the terrorist attack on Pilgrimage [referring to the incident], the government has decided to suspend visa services for Pakistani nationals with immediate effect.” Additionally, all valid visas previously issued to Pakistani citizens have been revoked and will no longer be honored from 29 April 2025.
The advisory further emphasized: medical visas for Pakistani patients are also suspended until further notice…The Indian government had declared April 29, 2025, as the deadline for all Pakistani nationals residing in India to leave the country before their visas expire.
In a statement issued at the time, Indian authorities strongly advised its citizens to avoid traveling to pakistan and also recommended that Indian nationals currently present in Pakistan return to India quickly.
On Wednesday, Phelgam reported one of the deadliest attacks in recent history in this volatile region, resulting in the deaths of 26 tourists. both India and pakistan claim full sovereignty over Kashmir but only control parts of it.
In response to this attack, India indirectly held Pakistan responsible. New Delhi accused Islamabad of supporting armed groups active in the region and strongly condemned these actions.
The Indian government has taken a firm stance on this incident…India has taken measures against its neighboring country, Pakistan. These actions include closing the main border crossing between the two nations, suspending a historic water treaty, expelling diplomats, and issuing an order for certain Pakistani passport holders to leave India within 48 hours.
