Zelensky arrives in Ankara for peace talks video
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Kyiv Autonomous, Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s plane landed in Ankara today (Thursday) ahead of potential peace talks between Ukraine and Russia—while Vladimir Putin declined to visit Turkey, rather sending a delegation.
reports indicate Zelenskyy plans to first meet and discuss with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in the capital.
At the airport, Zelenskyy told reporters ukraine has dispatched a delegation “at the highest level,” including foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, military representatives, presidential administration officials, and heads of all intelligence agencies.

The Russian delegation at Istanbul talks will be led by Vladimir Medinsky, Kremlin advisor.Other members include Mikhail Galuzin (deputy Foreign Minister),Igor Kostyukov (Head of Central Directorate of General Staff),and Alexander Fomin (Russian Deputy Defense Minister).
On May 11, Putin proposed Kyiv resume ”precondition-free” indirect negotiations abandoned in spring 2022. Zelenskyy later announced Ukraine’s plans to visit Turkey.Earlier, former U.S. President Donald Trump urged Ukraine to promptly accept Putin’s offer.
A White House official stated on May 13 that U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Trump’s special envoy for West Asia Steve Witkoff, and U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine Keith Kellogg would travel to Istanbul.
