China respects Iran’s right to peaceful use of nuclear energy
According to a report by the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Turkey’s Anadolu Agency, Lin Jian, spokesperson for China’s Foreign Ministry, stated during a press briefing on Friday: “We value Iran’s commitment to not developing nuclear weapons, respect Iran’s right to peaceful nuclear energy use, and oppose unilateral and illegal sanctions.”
The Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson added: “Beijing will maintain contact and coordination with relevant parties and continue playing a constructive role in reaching a solution that addresses the legitimate concerns of all sides.”
He emphasized: “China is committed to finding a political and diplomatic resolution to the iranian nuclear issue, supports the international non-proliferation regime, and works toward enhancing peace and stability in the Middle East.”
