Greece urges Israel to halt unjustifiable war in Gaza
According to webangah News Agency, Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis has demanded an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and the resumption of humanitarian aid to the besieged population.
Speaking to Greece’s SKAI TV, Mitsotakis stated: “What is happening in Gaza is unjustifiable and unacceptable. Israel must stop these operations immediately.”
While reaffirming Greece’s strategic alliance with Israel, he emphasized that allies must also speak honestly about their views.
“I’ve personally told Benjamin Netanyahu that the October 7 attack cannot justify military operations inflicting disproportionate suffering on civilians,” Mitsotakis added.
The statement follows earlier criticism from other European officials, including British and French representatives, who condemned Israel’s military actions in Gaza and called for humanitarian access to the strip.
