Greece urges Israel to halt unjustifiable war in Gaza

According to webangah News⁤ Agency, Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis has‍ demanded an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and the resumption of humanitarian⁢ aid to the besieged ​population.

Speaking to Greece’s SKAI TV,⁤ Mitsotakis stated: “What is happening in Gaza is unjustifiable and unacceptable. Israel ‍must stop these operations immediately.”

While​ reaffirming Greece’s​ strategic alliance ⁢with Israel, he emphasized that allies‍ must​ also⁣ speak honestly about their views.

“I’ve personally told Benjamin Netanyahu that the October 7 attack cannot justify military⁢ operations⁢ inflicting disproportionate suffering on civilians,”​ Mitsotakis added.

The statement follows earlier criticism from other European officials, including British and French representatives, ⁣who condemned Israel’s military actions in ⁢Gaza and called for humanitarian access to the strip.
