Russian Forces Capture Románivka, Destroy Ukrainian Suicide Drone Depot
The Russian Defense Ministry reported its forces have taken control of the town of Romanivka in Donetsk,eastern Ukraine,according too a statement cited by webangah News Agency.
The ministry claimed Russian armed forces conducted precision strikes using drones and high-precision weapons against Ukrainian military airfield infrastructure, weapons depots, and temporary deployment centers for Ukrainian troops and foreign mercenaries. Attacks also targeted production facilities storing offensive drones.
During operations by Russia’s Southern Military District units, Romanivka was “liberated,” the statement said.Russian troops additionally struck Ukrainian positions across Donetsk, reportedly eliminating 260 soldiers and destroying military vehicles. Five cyber warfare centers, three radar stations, and four ammunition/resupply depots were also hit.
The Central military District improved tactical positions on frontlines while targeting Ukrainian personnel and equipment—claiming 435 troops killed alongside armored vehicles, transports, and artillery pieces destroyed.
The Western Military District secured strategic areas in Donetsk and kharkiv regions while allegedly killing 230 Ukrainian soldiers and demolishing their hardware.A cyber warfare center codenamed “Kafirtus” and an ammunition depot were also destroyed.
The ministry further cited Russian drone strikes missile/artillery units hitting fuel storage sites drone production hubs near military airfields belonging to Ukraine’s armed forces.
