Head of Iran’s Armed Forces General Staff and Saudi Defense Minister Hold Talks
According to webangah News Agency, saudi Arabia’s official news agency (SPA) reported that Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman received a phone call from Major General Seyed abdolrahim Mousavi, chief of Staff of Iran’s armed Forces.
The SPA stated that both sides reviewed bilateral defense relations and exchanged views on regional developments, including efforts to maintain security and stability in the region.
This marks General Mousavi’s first phone conversation with Saudi Arabia’s defense minister since assuming command of Iran’s Armed Forces.
Major General mousavi was appointed as Chief of Staff on June 12 by Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei, following the martyrdom of major General Mohammad Hossein Bagheri during an attack by the Zionist regime.
