According to the english section of webangah News Agency, quoting Mehr News Agency via Al Jazeera, Israeli Army Radio cited a military source stating that Israel’s Minister of Defense, Yisrael Katz, has gone to Washington for an vital meeting with his American counterpart.
During this visit, Katz will request immediate military support and additional ammunition from the U.S. Secretary of Defense.
the source added that Katz will specifically ask for more missile defense systems to be supplied to Israel.
The ongoing attritional conflicts on multiple fronts appear to have put both Israel’s domestic defense industries and even American arms manufacturers under considerable pressure.
Despite possessing some of the most advanced and costly missile defense systems globally, along with comprehensive support from the United States, Israel has lost a significant part of its radar and air defense capabilities due to effective strikes by Iranian armed forces’ missile and drone units in recent hostilities. As a result, it is currently facing shortages in ammunition and military equipment.
