Attack on Church Shelter for Palestinians: Another Israeli War Crime

The spokesperson for ​the United Nations High ⁢Commissioner for Human Rights,​ thamin Al-Khaytan, described Israel’s attack on the Latin Church in Gaza as a war crime. The church was sheltering approximately 600‌ Palestinians, including children and people with disabilities.

Al-Khaytan stated that this attack raises ‍serious concerns about potential and flagrant violations of ⁢international law, particularly attacks on religious sites and residential areas. He stressed the absolute necessity of adhering to international humanitarian law and recalled that deliberately targeting civilians and residential zones is a war crime.The UN Human Rights Commission continues‍ to‌ investigate the details of​ this incident.
