Hamas Calls Israeli Regime’s Attack on ‘Hanzala’ Ship an Act of Maritime Piracy
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency from the Palestinian Information Center, the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) issued a statement condemning israel’s seizure of the aid vessel Hanzala and abduction of its crew as a new crime of terrorism and maritime piracy. The statement called it an explicit challenge to human conscience and will.
The hamas statement read: “The Israeli occupation forces, by attacking the humanitarian ship Hanzala in international waters and preventing its arrival to besieged Gaza, have once again shown that they do not respect any humanitarian or international law. This comes while Gaza faces full-scale war, systematic starvation policies, and a cruel siege.”
Hamas praised the courage of international activists aboard the ship, stressing that their message of solidarity has reached both Gaza’s people and global audiences. Public awareness worldwide about Israeli crimes has increased significantly.
The movement also commended popular efforts to break Gaza’s siege, describing these actions as expressions of humanity’s living conscience that expose both Israel’s true nature and certain powers’ collusion with it.
Hamas holds Benjamin Netanyahu’s government fully responsible for the safety and lives of those aboard the ship. It called on all free peoples worldwide to continue campaigns sending ships and solidarity convoys.
The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement urged United Nations bodies and international organizations to condemn this crime, pressure Israel to end its siege and genocidal policies in Gaza, and prosecute its leaders for crimes against humanity.
