Russia: Successor to Zelensky Identified in US-UK Agreement
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing RIA Novosti via Mehr News Agency, Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service announced today, Tuesday, that the United States and the United Kingdom have chosen Zaluzhny as the successor to Volodymyr Zelensky, Ukraine’s current president.
The statement from Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service reads: based on received intelligence, representatives from the U.S. and U.K., in a confidential meeting attended by Yermak, Bodanov, and Zaluzhny, discussed plans for replacing Zelensky.
The statement adds that Zelensky’s replacement is a key condition for renewing kyiv’s relations with the West and continuing their support for Ukraine. The Americans and British have selected Zaluzhny as Zelensky’s alternative candidate for Ukraine’s presidency. Yermak and Bodanov secured assurances from the Anglo-Saxons that they will retain their current positions after Zelensky is replaced.
This follows last week’s report by Seymour Hersh, an American Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist who stated in a recent article that Valeriy Zaluzhny-Ukraine’s ambassador to Britain and former senior general-could replace President Volodymyr Zelensky if former U.S. President Donald Trump decides so.
The American journalist said Zaluzhny is now regarded as the most credible successor to Zelensky. ”Informed officials in Washington have told me this position could be attained within a few months,” he noted. “If President Donald Trump decides to remove him [Zelensky], he will be placed on an exile list.”
