Floods in Vietnam Claim at Least 14 Lives
Flooding in northern Vietnam has resulted in at least 14 fatalities.
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Reuters, heavy rainfall has caused flooding in Điện Biên Province, northern Vietnam, killing at least 14 people.
Local media reported that after hours of intense rain,floodwaters rose rapidly,submerging homes in low-lying areas.In mountainous regions, the flooding triggered severe mudslides and torrents.
A statement from the local government noted suspended traffic and power outages across several districts. Local outlets added that ongoing heavy rain is hampering rescue efforts and searches for missing persons.
