Belgian Workers’ Union Takes Anti-Zionist Action
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Al Jazeera via Mehr News Agency, reports indicate that Europe’s anger towards the Israeli regime persists.
in the latest development, the Belgian National Workers’ Union issued a statement urging Brussels airport employees not to participate in operations related to flights headed for Tel Aviv.
The union emphasized that since October 2023,the people of Gaza and the West Bank have faced widespread genocide and violations of international law.
The Belgian National Workers’ Union also expressed full support for workers who refuse any involvement in normalizing relations with the Israeli regime.
A recent YouGov survey reveals that public support for Israel across Europe has fallen to its lowest point amid ongoing genocide by the regime in Gaza.
The poll results show that fewer than one-fifth of respondents from six European countries hold a positive view of Israel, ranging between 13% and 21%, while between 63% and 70% express negative opinions towards Israel.
The survey further indicates approval ratings of negative 44 in Germany, negative 48 in France, and negative 54 in Denmark-the lowest levels recorded since 2016.
Approval ratings also reached negative 52 in Italy and negative 55 in Spain, marking their lowest points as 2021. In Britain, support dropped to one of its lowest levels at negative 46; this figure was even lower at negative 49 late last year.
The minus sign before these figures indicates that citizens hold more unfavorable than favorable views toward Israel.
When asked whether Israel has a right to deploy troops into Gaza, European respondents overwhelmingly disagreed. Only 6% answered affirmatively in Italy; this figure was higher at 16% in France and stood at 12% in Britain.
Europeans were also asked if they agreed that Israel exaggerated casualties among Gazan civilians or caused mass bloodshed. Agreement rates were recorded at 40% in Germany, 38% in Britain, and 29% in Italy.
