U.S. Troop Withdrawal from Baghdad Begins Tomorrow

U.S. ‌troops will begin withdrawing from Baghdad’s Green Zone and the⁣ city’s international airport starting tomorrow,in line with a bilateral⁤ agreement with ⁤Iraq.

According to⁣ the ​English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr ​News Agency and Al Arabiya, U.S. forces⁢ are expected to start withdrawing from the Iraqi capital on Saturday ‌as part of⁣ implementing the ⁢bilateral agreement between Washington‍ and Baghdad.

Informed sources also stated that American troops will leave Baghdad’s heavily secured Green Zone,⁣ which hosts Western diplomatic missions ​and official headquarters.

The withdrawal will include U.S. military presence at Baghdad International Airport and the Joint Operations Command headquarters ⁣of the Iraqi army, according to these sources.

This growth⁢ comes amid reports from political insiders that Washington ‌has unexpectedly decided to fully‍ withdraw all its forces‍ from Ain‍ al-Asad and Victoria bases in Iraq.

The ⁣signed agreement between baghdad​ and Washington stipulates that international coalition forces should leave ​Iraq by⁢ September this year, with a ⁤second ⁣phase concluding all withdrawals by December next year.
