North Korean Leader Arrives in China on “Iron Green Horse
North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, en route to attend the Victory Day military parade, crossed the border and entered China yesterday by train.
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr news Agency and The Guardian, Kim Jong Un traveled to china to participate in the Victory day parade marking Japan’s official surrender in World War II. He arrived in China this morning.
North Korea’s Rodong Sinmun newspaper reported that the leader was expected to arrive in Beijing early today.
South Korea’s Yonhap News Agency described Kim’s signature armored green train as a “mobile fortress” traveling at 60 kilometers per hour. The journey to Beijing took approximately 20 hours.
This slow but distinctive mode of transport has been used by North Korean leaders for decades.
