According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr⁤ News Agency and the Islamic Republic​ News Agency, the general assembly of the International⁣ united Cultures Forum was held Friday evening at Catherine Palace in Tsarskoye ⁣Selo, saint Petersburg. The event gathered ministers, senior cultural officials, and artists ‍from more‍ than 40 countries alongside four ​international organizations.

Representing the Islamic Republic of Iran,Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Seyed Abbas Salehi attended the ceremony. Russian President Vladimir Putin described joint efforts by countries ​to preserve cultural identity, diversity, and traditions as an urgent global necessity.

Putin emphasized supporting innovation and artistic ⁤creation through collaboration among ​different societies. he‌ highlighted this approach as ‌essential for nurturing humanity’s best ⁢qualities.

The president further stressed that combating ‍threats ⁣to minority cultures⁣ worldwide is crucial. ⁢he called for liberation from biases, ⁣double standards, and ⁣actions⁢ by certain nations that seek to ⁣undermine independent cultures.

“We must ‍strive for openness and mutual respect,” Putin said.⁣ “We should be ready to ⁤learn new perspectives, contribute to strengthening the global ‍cultural space, and ultimately work toward a worthy, peaceful, and prosperous future for ‌our peoples.”

Expressing gratitude toward participating ‌ministers, cultural leaders, and artists ‌from various countries in this international forum, Putin expressed confidence that their professional⁤ dialogue-free from stereotypes ‌or prejudice-would promote enhanced cooperation ⁣between governments and‌ peoples. ⁢He noted this effort aligns with this year’s forum theme: “return to Culture – New Opportunities.”

“The⁢ richer⁢ and ‍more authentic global cultural⁤ diversity is,” Putin asserted, “the richer our shared heritage becomes-and the more sustainable humanity’s future on Earth will be.”
