Turkish Foreign Minister Consults Qatari and Jordanian Counterparts on Gaza and Doha Summit
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing mehr news Agency and Reuters, turkey’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan spoke by phone on Saturday with his counterparts from Qatar and Jordan. They discussed recent events in Gaza and preparations for the extraordinary joint meeting of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the Arab League scheduled for September 15 in Doha.
Sources from Turkey’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that Fidan held telephone talks with Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, as well as Jordan’s Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi.
The discussions covered both current conditions in Gaza and arrangements related to the upcoming extraordinary session in Doha.
It was also announced that Turkey’s foreign Minister will travel to Doha tomorrow to participate in a preparatory meeting of foreign ministers ahead of the summit.
