Kalas: Trump Is the Most Influential Man in the World!

The EU’s foreign policy chief says⁢ the ‌bloc must improve its ⁤relations with the US ‍president.

According too the English ‌section of webangah News Agency, citing‌ mehr News ⁤Agency and Russia Today, Kaja Kallas, the European Union’s foreign policy chief, believes that the bloc must enhance its‍ relationship with US President Donald Trump.

Speaking to Germany’s RND, Kallas was asked if the‍ European Union still trusts Trump after a contentious trade ⁢agreement between Brussels and Washington. Under⁣ this deal, most European exports face a 15 percent tariff, while tariffs ⁤on American industrial ‌goods have been lifted. She ⁤responded: “The United States⁤ is our⁢ most ⁣vital partner and will remain so. But the new governance has clearly ‌changed how it sets policies and conducts official trade.”

Referring to Trump’s tariffs as an indicator of how countries relate to america, she added: “We Europeans must adapt to their way of working and align ourselves accordingly. Trump ‌is the most influential man in the world. We just need to learn how to work with him!”

Kallas‌ also suggested that any resolution to end the Ukraine war without Trump’s ⁣involvement is⁢ unlikely because, as she claimed, Washington “has the power⁢ to ⁤push Russia into ⁣serious peace negotiations.”

She voiced hope ‍that Trump would follow through on his initial threats by imposing⁤ further sanctions against Russia. While Russia has not yet been targeted by ⁢Trump’s current tariffs due to‌ existing sanctions,⁢ he has warned ⁣that if no ⁢swift settlement ‌in Ukraine occurs, he will penalize Russia’s trading ⁤partners with tariffs. Last month he raised tariffs on India by 50 percent over‌ its oil⁢ purchases from russia and indicated potential new⁤ measures against China as well.

This week, Trump stated that if NATO members stop buying Russian oil,‍ the US would impose additional sanctions⁤ on Moscow. He also questioned NATO’s commitment to peace efforts in Ukraine and labeled them insufficient.
