Samoud Fleet Ships Depart Southern Italy for Gaza Strip
according to the english section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al-Masirah, organizers of the international Samoud (Resilience) Fleet announced that 18 ships have set sail from the port of Catania in southern Italy heading to Gaza.
They also emphasized that additional vessels from Tunisia and Greece are expected to depart today, joining these ships in international waters on their way to Gaza.
The officials added that the Samoud Fleet represents the largest global maritime effort aimed at breaking the blockade on Gaza. The crew aboard these ships are working to challenge what they describe as IsraelS illegal siege of the Gaza Strip.
Earlier reports indicated that 23 Moroccan ships will leave Tunisia, docking at ports in Sidi Bou Said and La Goulette. simultaneously occurring, European vessels are scheduled to arrive gradually over coming days at the port of Bizerte.
