Israeli Knesset Moves to Cancel the Oslo Accords

Israeli regime ⁤television announced parliamentary‍ efforts to repeal the ‍Oslo Accords.

According to the English ⁣section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and ma’an, Israel’s ‍Channel 7 reported that Tzvi Sukkot, a member of the Knesset, has submitted a new bill aimed at repealing the Oslo Accords.

The Israeli lawmaker claimed that⁣ the Oslo agreement represents a severe failure and has created a major security vacuum for ⁣Israel.

He added that Tel‍ Aviv cannot remain ⁣committed to agreements that the othre‍ party‌ continuously violates.

It is noteworthy that 32 years‍ ago, in the White House grounds, a fully one-sided agreement⁢ was signed ⁣in favor of Israeli occupiers by ‌Yasser Arafat and Yitzhak Rabin.

The secret‍ negotiations took⁣ place in Oslo,Norway’s capital, concluding ‌on August 20,1993. The accord was officially⁤ signed on September ‌13,1993-equivalent to September 4 in Iran’s Iranian calendar-in Washington ‌D.C., with‍ Yasser Arafat, Yitzhak Rabin, ‍and Bill ⁤Clinton present. According to this agreement, the creation of the Palestinian Authority was established as ⁢a temporary administrative body.

The⁢ Oslo Accords⁤ carried the slogan “Peace for⁢ Land” and emphasized negotiating a final solution between Palestinians and Israeli occupiers within five years. However, over time it became clear that Israel completely disregarded Palestinian ⁤rights on all points‌ including settlement expansion, control over⁤ Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque, resident security, border demarcation, refugee status resolution, water allocation issues-and establishing an ⁤independant⁤ Palestinian state.

In reality, ⁣Israel acted contrary to Oslo’s provisions by using this accord solely to confiscate more Palestinian lands and expand settlements.
