The English section of webangah News Agency, citing mehr News Agency and Russia Today, reports that the U.S. Air Force has initiated renovations on the boeing 747 gifted by Qatar to former U.S.President Donald Trump. The plane is intended for use in transporting American officials.
A spokesperson for the U.S. Air Force stated that details regarding the nature of these modifications, the company carrying out the work, and its timeline remain classified. Any aircraft received from foreign countries, including allies, must be converted into a secure transport for U.S. officials.
CNN also reported that this process involves more than repairs or minor changes; it resembles a complete overhaul of the Qatari jet.
The operation is expected to take several months up to two years to complete.
In may 2023, it was reported that the Trump governance planned to accept a luxurious Boeing 747-8 provided by Qatar’s royal family and convert it into a dedicated presidential aircraft (Air Force One).
This plane represents one of the most valuable gifts ever presented to a U.S. administration and is slated to be donated to Trump’s presidential library after his term ends.
