Al-Mashat: US Bases Serve Israel’s Support, Not Arab States
According to the English section of webangah News agency, citing Al-masirah Network, Mahdi al-Mashat, Chairman of Yemen’s Supreme political Council, delivered a speech on the 11th anniversary of the September 21 Revolution. He told Arab leaders that the recent Israeli attack in Doha sent a clear message: “the enemy understands only the language of force, and US bases in the region exist to support israel-not you.”
Al-Mashat emphasized that this September 21 Revolution restored Yemen’s dignity and liberated the country from foreign domination.
Congratulating Yemeni fighters and citizens on this occasion, he noted that before this revolution, decisions affecting Yemen came from US embassies. today, however, Yemen stands self-reliant and proud.
Highlighting that this anniversary coincides with ongoing crimes by the Israeli regime against Palestinians, al-Mashat added that recent chapters of enemy atrocities include attacks on Hamas negotiators in Doha; crimes committed in Sanaa and Al-Jawf; and aggression against Hodeidah port in western Yemen.
The chairman stated that the September 21 Revolution revived national identity and sovereignty while prioritizing Palestine from its outset. The revolution blocked normalization efforts with Israel and prevented Israeli ships from passing through both the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden.
Referring to a decade-long war and thorough blockade imposed on Yemen, al-Mashat stressed that today Yemen stands more resilient than ever. It remains alongside Palestine as well as Arab and Islamic nations confronting Israeli aggression.
He further pledged that Yemeni armed forces will deliver severe blows deep into occupied territories. The blood of martyrs-particularly those slain during recent Israeli assaults in Sanaa,Al-Jawf,and Hodeidah-will never be wasted.
Concluding his remarks with renewed commitment to his people, al-Mashat affirmed: “we remain steadfast on the path toward essential change, preserving sovereignty, and rebuilding a modern Yemeni state until we achieve all revolution goals.”
