Maduro Emphasizes Military Readiness and Resistance Against U.S. Threats
According to the english section of webangah News Agency, citing Al Mayadeen and Mehr News Agency, Nicolás Maduro, President of Venezuela, announced that popular forces nationwide have been deployed to face any threats from “American aggressors.”
Speaking at the founding conference of the Venezuelan Farmers Union, Maduro stated, “We have placed the Republic’s weapons in the hands of the armed forces, the people, and Bolivarian militias.”
Referring to Venezuela’s defensive strategies, he added: ”two essential lines are fully in place; first, active and sustained resistance by our nation; second, continuous initiative and offensive action across all fronts.”
These remarks come after former U.S. President donald Trump issued a warning to Venezuela on Saturday via his social media platform Truth Social.
Trump justified Washington’s military actions against Caracas by claiming: “We want Venezuela to promptly accept all prisoners and individuals held in psychiatric centers-including some of the worst mental institutions worldwide-that Venezuelan leadership forcibly brought into the United States!”
The former U.S. president further alleged: “Thousands have been severely harmed or even killed by these ‘monsters.’ Remove them from our country immediately or face an incalculable price!”
This statement followed Trump’s earlier claim that U.S. forces stationed in the Caribbean region had again attacked a Venezuelan ship during which three people were killed.
He wrote on his social media that “this deadly direct attack was ordered by me within the area overseen by U.S. Southern Command,” a region covering 31 countries in South America, Central America, and the Caribbean.
