Netanyahu Orders Israeli Ministers: Maintain Silence
According to the English section of webangah News agency, citing mehr News Agency and Ma’an, Israel’s Times of Israel reported that in recent days, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office has asked several ministers and parliament members not to publicly discuss Tel aviv’s plans to annex the West Bank.
The report states this directive from Netanyahu’s office aims to avoid international fallout over expanding Israeli occupation, especially as Western countries increasingly recognize the State of Palestine.
An Israeli official also said those ministers and representatives were told that Netanyahu knows when and how to proceed on this matter.
Recently, Israeli television revealed that Saudi Arabia sent a strong warning through a political source to Tel Aviv. The message cautioned that any annexation of Palestinian territories-even partial-would obstruct normalization of relations between Riyadh and Israel.
