400 Settlers Enter Al-Aqsa Mosque
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Anadolu, over 400 Israeli settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque on Monday as the Hebrew New Year began and held Talmudic rituals inside.
A source within the Jerusalem Islamic Waqf, who requested anonymity, said that 298 extremist settlers entered Al-Aqsa through Bab al-Maghariba this morning before noon prayers, followed by an additional 120 after midday prayers. These incursions were supported by regime police forces.
Eyewitnesses confirmed that inside the mosque, settlers performed provocative Talmudic ceremonies and engaged in inflammatory actions.
The raids coincide with celebrations that started today and are expected to peak Tuesday.
dozens of settlers had also stormed al-Aqsa yesterday. Since Itamar Ben-Gvir assumed office as Israel’s Minister of National Security at the end of 2022, violations against Al-Aqsa have sharply increased.
