Iraq’s President Emphasizes the Peaceful Nature of‍ Iran’s Nuclear Activities.

According to the English section of webangah News ⁢Agency, citing Mehr News⁣ Agency, Iraqi President Abdul Latif Rashid told France 24: “We hope that attacks on Iran’s facilities by the United States or Israel ​will not be ⁢repeated. The Iranian side‍ has ‍repeatedly stressed that ⁢it ‌is absolutely ‌not seeking nuclear weapons.”

Regarding regional developments, he said: “The tragic situation in Gaza, marked by⁢ the bloodshed of children ⁢and innocents and the lack of food and medicine, cannot continue indefinitely.”

Rashid stated: “Everyone in the region is concerned about Israeli aggression. The ‌frist step toward achieving peace and stability is to stop the attacks.”

On American troops, he noted: “The presence or withdrawal of U.S. forces in Iraq depends on agreements between Baghdad and Washington. We have reached a stage where there is no longer a need for multinational or American forces ⁤to remain long-term. The timing of their departure depends on both‍ sides.”

He added: “ISIS was decisively defeated, and all Iraqi borders are under control. ‌We monitor⁣ any terrorist movements in the region. We ‍aim‌ to close al-Hol camp because it poses a threat​ along border ‌areas affecting Syria, Iraq, and even Turkey. Regarding Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF), I must say ‌they are part of Iraq’s security ⁢forces formed specifically⁢ to combat ISIS and terrorism.”
