Saudi Arabia: Diplomacy Is the Only Solution to Resolve Iran’s Nuclear Program
According to the English section of webangah News Agency,citing Mehr News Agency and Qatar’s Al Jazeera network,saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan stressed at the 80th session of the united Nations General Assembly that diplomacy remains the sole path to resolving the crisis over Iran’s nuclear program.
He also addressed the recognition of Palestine, calling on all countries to recognize Palestine and support progress toward a two-state solution.
The Saudi foreign minister condemned ongoing Israeli regime aggressions in the region and described Israel’s recent attack on Qatar as a ”blatant and unjustifiable act.”
Speaking at the 80th UN General Assembly, he underscored that the United Nations must operate more effectively and take a stronger role in curbing global crises and conflicts.
Highlighting the Gaza war, he said: “We must all act immediately to halt hostilities and ensure humanitarian aid reaches residents of this area.”
He warned that international hesitation in containing the Gaza conflict will lead to security instability both regionally and globally.
Bin Farhan further expressed support for Lebanon, stating: “We stand alongside the lebanese peopel and back their government’s efforts to implement the Taif Agreement and ensure weapons are exclusively under state control.”
The saudi foreign minister stressed full withdrawal of Israeli forces from all occupied Lebanese territories. He praised Beirut’s initiatives aimed at extending state sovereignty and concentrating arms within official government institutions.
He also welcomed an increase in countries recognizing an autonomous Palestinian state, adding: “we support adoption of the New York Declaration at this General Assembly regarding resolution of Palestine based on a two-state framework.”
