Unprecedented Visit by U.S. Ambassador to Egypt Postponed
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, quoting Mehr News Agency and Ma’an, a U.S. official told The Times of Israel that mike Huckabee, the American ambassador in Tel Aviv, has postponed his planned visit to Egypt under current circumstances.
Earlier reports indicated that Huckabee intended to travel to Egypt amid rising tensions between Tel Aviv and Cairo to hold talks with Egyptian officials.
U.S. authorities speaking with The New York Times emphasized that these meetings were expected to focus on the Gaza conflict.
This woudl have been the first official visit by a U.S. ambassador stationed in Israel to Egypt in decades.
Recently, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi stressed during a visit to an Egyptian military academy that no one can commit aggression against Egypt.
He highlighted the importance of public awareness regarding current regional developments, stating that “the region is currently at a critical stage,” and any action must be carefully considered and planned.
