Ayatollah Sistani’s Office Expresses Gratitude for Condolence Messages
The office of Grand Ayatollah Sistani, the highest religious authority in Najaf, issued a statement on Wednesday thanking all those who offered their condolences on the death of his wife.
“With deep gratitude and sincere gratitude, we thank everyone who expressed their heartfelt sympathy and solidarity with His Eminence (may his shadow endure) and his family during this great loss,” the statement read. “We are especially grateful to those who endured hardship to attend the funeral or mourning gatherings, whether from various provinces inside Iraq or from abroad. We also appreciate those who sent messages of condolence or published statements in print and broadcast media.”
The office extended its thanks to senior maraji’, prominent scholars, students in seminaries and academic centers both inside Iraq and overseas; respected tribal sheikhs; distinguished figures; official institutions; religious groups; civil society movements; as well as all friends, citizens, and others for their endless compassion and support.
Concluding the statement: “We pray that Almighty God protects everyone from all harm and never burdens their hearts with sorrow over lost loved ones.We ask Him to grant this noble lady vast mercy and blessings, joining her with her pure ancestors-including Prophet muhammad (peace be upon him) and his family (peace be upon them).”
