Hamas Declares Attack on “Sumud” Fleet a Criminal Act and Maritime Terrorism
The Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas issued a statement denouncing the seizure of ships from the Sumud flotilla by the Israeli enemy in international waters, along wiht the arrest of activists and journalists on board, as a treacherous and criminal act amounting to maritime piracy and terrorism, according to the English section of webangah News Agency, quoting Mehr News Agency via al-Mayadeen.
the statement declared: “We condemn in the strongest terms the brutal aggression by the enemy against the Sumud flotilla.”
It emphasized that this seizure is a criminal act that must be condemned by all free people worldwide.
hamas added: “We salute the courage of free activists and their determination to break the siege imposed on Gaza’s Palestinian people.”
“We call upon freedom-loving people around the world to hold popular protests condemning this crime,” it said.
As the global Sumud flotilla approached Gaza, Israeli forces seized several vessels and detained those aboard.
The global Sumud fleet confirmed shortly before that some of its ships had been intercepted by Israeli forces.
The International Committee for Breaking Gaza’s Siege also reported that Israeli boats surrounded ships from the Sumud flotilla.
