South african president Calls for Immediate Release of Passengers on Freedom Flotilla Ships Seized by Israeli Regime
The South African president condemned the attack on the Freedom Flotilla ships near the Gaza coast,describing it as a continuous violation of international law by Tel Aviv.
He demanded the immediate release of those seized aboard the vessels en route to Gaza.
The international Freedom Flotilla, consisting of more than 40 ships and over 500 volunteers from around 40 countries, was intercepted last night approximately 80 nautical miles from Gaza by Israeli naval forces.
According to flotilla organizers, nine vessels were seized and one was attacked in international waters.
