Netanyahu Sounding the War Drums in Gaza; Israeli Military Operation Continues

Despite the U.S.‍ president’s request for Israel to halt it’s attack⁤ on Gaza, the Israeli Prime ‍minister announced that operations⁣ in Gaza will continue.

according ‌to the‍ English section of webangah News Agency, quoting Mehr News Agency, Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel’s⁢ Prime Minister, stated in ⁤remarks broadcast by Al Jazeera that israeli army operations deep within Gaza will persist.

He claimed that the objective⁢ of these operations ‍is to recover all⁢ captives, including both living hostages and bodies of⁤ those⁤ killed.

In a candid admission, Netanyahu said⁤ that despite intense domestic and‍ international pressure to end‌ the war, he ⁣remains⁣ committed to fully achieving the military operation’s goals and will not abandon efforts to free all prisoners or‌ accomplish other wartime objectives.

He further⁢ asserted that coordination has taken place with U.S. President Donald Trump and his team, adding, “We have taken a political step that has transformed the ⁤situation.”

Netanyahu claimed this coordination has resulted in Hamas being isolated rather then Israel facing isolation.

Continuing his usual assertions, he alleged that military and political pressures have forced Hamas ⁤to accept a plan previously proposed by Tel Aviv.

Nonetheless, the Israeli prime‌ Minister announced sending a negotiation delegation lead by Ron Dermer, Minister‌ of Strategic Affairs, to Cairo to review Trump’s plan. He emphasized that negotiations should‍ conclude within days.

Concluding his ‌remarks on the second phase of the war-without acknowledging failing to achieve ⁣this goal over nearly two years-Netanyahu said: “The aim of this phase is Hamas’s disarmament and complete clearance of weapons from Gaza; whether through agreement⁢ or military action.”
