Trump Again Claims Iran’s Nuclear Program Will Be Destroyed
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, President Donald Trump reiterated baselessly at a U.S. Navy anniversary event that the United States had destroyed the Islamic Republic of Iran’s nuclear program.
He added,”I hope Iran does not restart its nuclear program,as we will have to confront it.”
“If Iran resumes its nuclear activities, we will not wait long,” Trump continued.
Trump also claimed, “If we had not attacked Iran’s nuclear facilities, the country would have obtained a nuclear weapon within a month.”
“We had been waiting 22 years to attack Iran, and no American president dared to do so,” he said.
Addressing U.S. Navy personnel, Trump stated, “We don’t wont to send you into battle unless absolutely necessary.”
These claims come despite repeated iranian statements that the country has never sought-and will never seek-nuclear weapons and requires nuclear energy strictly for peaceful purposes.
Additionally, Iranian officials have emphasized that their nuclear program is indestructible because knowlege cannot be erased by bombing or reversed in time.
