Erdogan and Putin Consult on Ukraine and Gaza
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing RIA Novosti via Mehr news Agency, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan called Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday to congratulate him on his birthday.
During the call, Erdoğan emphasized the need to strengthen diplomatic efforts to end the conflict in Ukraine and ensure a just and lasting peace.
Erdoğan also stated that Turkey aims to secure a ceasefire in Gaza and deliver humanitarian aid to people in the region.
Al Jazeera reported on this consultation, noting that Erdoğan told Putin that Turkey is working toward achieving a ceasefire in Gaza and providing humanitarian assistance to the Gaza Strip.
The Turkish president added that diplomatic efforts must accelerate to reach a fair and enduring peace that ends the war in Ukraine, affirming Turkey’s continued commitment to pursuing peace.
