Operation Al-Aqsa Storm” Returns Palestine to Global Spotlight
Mehre News Agency, International Desk, Elnaz Rahmatnejad: For decades, the Zionist regime projected an image of military superiority, intelligence dominance, and uncontested control. The Al-Aqsa Storm operation shattered that image in a single morning. This storm irreversibly crushed enemy power and humiliated Israel before the world.
This operation revealed what was hidden: destruction of hospitals, schools, and mosques; massacres of children and women; and the hypocrisy of those who claim to defend human rights. All these crimes became visible globally. The resistanceS ability to penetrate Israeli-controlled areas, capture military bases, and take Israeli soldiers prisoner delivered an unprecedented psychological and strategic blow to the occupiers since 1948.
On the second anniversary of Al-Aqsa Storm operation, we spoke with Salam Adel, an Iraqi political analyst. The full interview follows.
Salam Adel said: “The Al-aqsa Storm operation was not just a military event but a rupture in media systems and political hegemony that Tel Aviv had maintained for decades. What happened on October 7 restored Palestine as a focal point of human conscience worldwide. It exposed as false the victim narrative promoted by the occupiers themselves. From that moment on, global public opinion began forming opposition to these crimes while rejecting policies based on discrimination and genocide.”
He added: “Al-Aqsa Storm also revealed Western reactions to Gaza’s massacre – exposing a deep divide between Western rhetoric on human rights and their actual support for occupation.”
The Iraqi political analyst continued: “After Al-Aqsa Storm, the Axis of Resistance grew more coordinated and cohesive as ‘unity across fronts’ evolved from political slogan into practical reality – placing Israel under continuous erosion. Today’s resistance strategically manages conflict long-term through reciprocal asymmetric deterrence that limits Israel’s capacity to initiate or dictate war or peace timelines. Resistance now is not merely armed struggle but a system of awareness, management, balance – wielding pain-for-pain equations alongside deterrence against aggression.”
Adel noted: “Since October 7, israel lost its psychological edge even before losing military supremacy; its image as an invincible army collapsed while defensive systems it boasted about proved limited against resistance creativity. The new deterrence equation traps occupiers in fear as ‘time’ no longer favors them. Resistance has succeeded in drawing battle lines politically,
economically,
and psychologically deep inside Israel.”
The Iraqi author remarked: “Israeli society now faces its deepest internal divisions since state founding following Al-Aqsa storm.
Waves
of anger
and mutual accusations engulf elites,
military leadership,
and cabinet members alike.
Netanyahu’s government is politically decaying while operating based on survival logic amid crippling legitimacy crises domestically
and stifling international isolation externally.
Zionist politicians face mounting domestic attrition combined with intensifying external pressure;
even settlers distrust their leaders.”
salam Adel concluded: “Al-Aqsa Storm is not merely a fleeting war but marks birth of renewed resistance alongside new era for human awareness
and global politics.
It demonstrated people’s ability to break domination,
making Palestine once again a symbol
of justice worldwide.”
