Trump: First Phase of Gaza Peace Plan Signed
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, Qatar’s Al Jazeera network quoted US President Donald Trump as saying, “Israel and Hamas have agreed to the first phase of our special peace plan.”
He added, “All Israeli prisoners will be released soon.”
The US president continued, “as initial steps toward a strong and lasting peace, Israel will withdraw its forces to agreed lines.”
Trump also said that all involved parties would be treated fairly.
The president announced that the first stage of the Gaza peace plan has been signed.
He said, “Today is a great day for the Arab world, the Islamic world, Israel, and the United States. We thank mediators Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey.”
Trump confirmed an agreement has been reached regarding an end to the war in Gaza.
Hamas also confirmed reaching an agreement on the first phase with israel.
meanwhile, Benjamin Netanyahu, Prime Minister of Israel’s government, briefly responded by asserting: “We will bring back all prisoners.”
Qatar: Agreement will allow humanitarian aid into Gaza
Majid Al Ansari, spokesperson for Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated that mediators would announce agreements on implementing clauses for the first phase of a ceasefire in Gaza.
He added that this agreement would lead to stopping the war and releasing prisoners from both sides.
Al Ansari further noted that it would enable humanitarian aid entry into Gaza’s Strip with details forthcoming.
Hamas officially confirms reaching agreement with Israel’s government
Hamas expressed gratitude towards Qatar,Egypt and Turkey as mediator countries and also appreciation for President trump’s efforts aimed at ending the war permanently.
The group urged Trump along with mediator countries and Arab-Muslim parties to hold israeli occupiers fully accountable for implementing the deal.
Hamas also emphasized their demand that guarantors prevent Israeli occupation forces from shirking responsibility or delaying execution of this agreement.
