Putin: Russia Has Proposals to Resolve Gaza Situation
According to the english section of webangah News Agency, citing RIA Novosti via Mehr News Agency, Russia’s president stated that if Donald Trump, his American counterpart, succeeds in implementing his ceasefire plan for the Gaza Strip, it would mark a historic event.
Vladimir Putin said during a press conference following his visit to Tajikistan: “We support American initiatives in the Middle East, and the most vital matter is establishing a Palestinian state.”
putin added: “Trump is actively working on peace issues, and this is clearly evident in the Middle East.”
He emphasized that given Russia’s level of trust with Palestine, Russian involvement in Gaza’s peace process could become necessary and welcomed. Russia has proposals for resolving the situation in Gaza.
The Russian president also noted that a summit between Russia and Arab countries-proposed by him-has been postponed. He stressed he does not want to disrupt efforts toward resolving conflicts in the Middle East.
