Axios Claims Iran Invited to Sharm El-Sheikh Summit

An American media outlet claimed that the U.S. has invited Iran to attend the Sharm El-Sheikh summit ​on Gaza.

The English⁣ section‌ of webangah News Agency,‍ quoting Mehr News ⁣Agency, reported that Axios cited⁣ an unnamed source claiming the United States has invited Iran to participate in a​ peace summit aimed​ at ending the Gaza war, scheduled⁣ for next ⁣Monday‌ in Sharm El-Sheikh.

Earlier today, the Egyptian presidency⁣ announced that Sharm El-Sheikh will host a peace conference on ⁣Monday to end the Gaza conflict. The summit​ will be⁢ co-chaired by President Abdel Fattah⁣ el-Sisi and former U.S. President Donald Trump and attended⁤ by ⁤leaders from more ‌than 20 countries.

According to a statement from the Egyptian presidency,the conference aims⁣ to end the fighting ‍in Gaza,bolster⁤ efforts toward⁤ peace and stability in ​the Middle East,and inaugurate ⁤a new era of regional security‌ and stability.

The ​Egyptian presidency previously stated ⁤on behalf of Abdel fattah el-Sisi that Egypt plans ​to host ⁢an international conference focused on ‌improving ⁢conditions and ​accelerating reconstruction efforts in Gaza.

Indirect negotiations between Palestinian and Israeli delegations regarding a ceasefire in Gaza began at ⁢Sharm El-Sheikh on Monday, October 6, 2025.

Last Thursday,Hamas officially announced reaching an‌ agreement to end the war in Gaza and arrange‌ for prisoner exchanges⁢ through an official statement.
