New Details Emerge on Killing of Qatari Diplomats in Egypt

An Egyptian network has‍ revealed new​ details about‌ the incident involving a Qatari delegation in the country.

The English section⁢ of⁣ webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, reported that the⁢ Cairo Akhbaria channel announced‌ three Qatari diplomats died in⁢ a car accident while traveling ⁢to Sharm‌ el-Sheikh to participate in a Gaza ‍peace ‍summit.

According to the report, the accident occurred after ⁤a mechanical failure caused problems with ⁣the vehicle’s steering. The‌ car carried five Qataris along with an Egyptian‌ driver.

The report named​ Hassan ​Jaber ‍Al-Jaber, Abdullah Ghanem Al-Khayarin,⁢ and ‍Saud⁤ Bin Thamer Al-Thani​ as those killed. They were​ affiliated ‍with Qatar’s royal ⁣court⁤ and foreign⁤ ministry. ‌The other passengers are receiving treatment at a hospital.

The ‍crash⁢ happened on⁤ the Southern Sinai International Road. Simultaneously⁤ occurring, informed sources​ told Russia Today ​that those involved were security ‍personnel responsible for protocol arrangements during ‌emir of Qatar’s participation at the Sharm ⁢El-Sheikh summit.
