UNIFIL Condemns Israeli Attack on United Nations Forces
UNIFIL condemns recent Israeli aggression in southern Lebanon.
The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) reported that an Israeli drone dropped a bomb near their position in the Kafr Kila area yesterday afternoon, injuring one peacekeeper.
UNIFIL emphasized that such actions represent a serious violation of Security council Resolution 1701.
The force called on the Israeli military to cease attacks against UNIFIL personnel and areas close to their deployments.
It is noteworthy that Israel has continued its widespread violations against Lebanon since the ceasefire came into effect.
