Red Cross Receives First Group of Israeli Prisoners

Local Palestinian sources reported that resistance groups have handed over several Israeli prisoners to the International Committee ⁤of ⁤the⁢ Red Cross.

According to the English section⁢ of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, ‌the‌ Palestine Today news outlet, referencing its special sources,⁤ announced that as part of the ongoing prisoner exchange agreement, Palestinian resistance factions‌ have just delivered nine‌ Israeli prisoners to representatives of the International⁤ Committee of the Red Cross in the first phase of implementing the deal.

The report states that four detainees among ​this group are‍ critically injured and⁢ in serious medical condition.

Earlier, AFP had reported that Red Cross offices ‍in ​deir ​al-Balah city ‍in central Gaza Strip⁢ were preparing to receive Palestinian prisoners scheduled for release.

This progress occurs as Israeli officials review and adjust the list of⁣ Palestinian prisoners‌ set to be freed within days under⁤ the first stage of this exchange agreement.
