Syria Denounces Israeli Sovereignty Violations, Pursues Diplomatic Resolution

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Syria has registered a substantial number of Israeli violations of its sovereignty, with Foreign Minister Assaad Al-Sheibani stating that 65 such incursions were monitored in July and 52 in August. This marks a continued pattern of alleged breaches by the Israeli regime.
Al-Sheibani revealed that Damascus is engaged in negotiations with Tel Aviv, facilitated by American mediation, aiming to cease the ongoing aggressions and secure the release of individuals reportedly detained by Israeli forces. He characterized statements from Israeli officials about not withdrawing from the occupied Syrian Golan, referred to as Jebel al-Sheikh, as a clear declaration of intent to solidify their occupation.
The Syrian Foreign Minister reiterated the nation’s commitment to a diplomatic path for ending Israeli aggressions, emphasizing the necessity for Israel to fully adhere to the cessation of hostilities agreement. Syria is actively working towards consolidating its sovereignty over the occupied Golan, Al-Sheibani added. He also underscored Syria’s absolute sovereign right to establish its national army.
