Colombian President Criticizes U.S. Actions for Destabilizing Caribbean Sea, Accusing Washington of Deliberate Killings
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Al mayadeen via Mehr News Agency, Colombian President Gustavo Petro sharply condemned U.S. officials, accusing them of committing “murder” and violating Colombia’s sovereignty within its territorial waters.
Petro stated that Alejandro Caranza, a Colombian fisherman, had no involvement in drug trafficking and was simply carrying out his daily fishing activities.
The president explained that the Colombian boat was en route when one of its engines failed, triggering a distress signal.
He concluded by demanding that Washington provide a full explanation for the incident.
