mehr News Agency, International Desk: This morning, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iran’s Supreme Leader, met with hundreds of champions from different sports disciplines and medal winners of global scientific Olympiads. Referring to the recent bullying and reckless statements by the U.S.president, he said: “This individual tried to boost the morale of the Zionists and appear powerful through crude behaviour and numerous lies about the region, Iran, and its people.But if he has that power, let him calm down the millions across all U.S. states who are protesting against him.”
Addressing president Biden’s remarks boasting about bombing Iran’s nuclear industry while claiming to have destroyed it, Khamenei added: “That is your wishful thinking-but who are you to dictate rights or restrictions concerning any country’s nuclear industry? What business does America have with whether Iran possesses nuclear capabilities or not? Such interference is illegitimate, wrong, and tyrannical.”
He also addressed Biden’s readiness for negotiations: “He says he wants a deal; but if a deal comes together with coercion where outcomes are pre-set in advance, it isn’t a negotiation-it’s an imposition. The Iranian nation will never accept such pressure.”
