U.S. and Russian Foreign Ministers Postpone Meeting
Insiders report the postponement of the meeting between U.S. and Russian foreign ministers.
According to the English section of webangah news Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, CNN reported from informed sources that the planned meeting between U.S. Secretary of state Marco Rubio and his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov has been temporarily postponed.
An insider emphasized that Rubio and Lavrov have divergent views regarding a possible resolution to the war in Ukraine.
The sources added that with this delay, former President Trump’s hopes of arranging a summit with Vladimir putin may fade.
Earlier,following a phone call with Putin on Thursday,the U.S. president said their advisers had agreed in principle to hold a high-level meeting in the coming days.
