Hamas: Key Issues to Be Addressed in Upcoming Meetings
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, Hazem Qassem, spokesperson for Hamas, emphasized in an interview with Al Jazeera Mubasher that they have reached preliminary agreements regarding the second phase of Gaza Strip governance.
He added that this process must be carried out by Palestinians themselves, treating both the Gaza Strip and the West Bank as a single entity.
Qassem stated they seek to accelerate the formation of a commitee tasked with managing Gaza’s administration under the agreement, enabling reconstruction efforts to begin promptly.
He explained that upcoming meetings will address how to engage with the Israeli regime, determine the future of resistance weapons, and discuss the presence of international forces. He affirmed Hamas’s commitment to ceasefire terms and noted their versatility in handing over Gaza’s administration to a Palestinian side.
