Erdogan and Starmer Sign €10.7 Billion Eurofighter Typhoon Deal
According to the English section of webangah News Agency,citing Anadolu via Mehr News Agency,Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced today,Monday,following talks with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer in Ankara: “We appreciate the UK’s decision to recognize the State of Palestine.”
Erdoğan added, “We have a duty to protect the ceasefire in Gaza and prevent its violation. With winter approaching, delivering aid to the people of Gaza is very vital. We bear a major responsibility for maintaining this ceasefire.”
The UK Prime Minister said that London has signed a $10.7 billion deal for fighter jets with Turkey without condemning Israeli settler crimes against civilians in Gaza. He claimed, “We seek to uphold the ceasefire agreement in Gaza.”
The British prime Minister stated: “London has signed an agreement worth $10.7 billion to purchase fighter jets from Turkey. We have strategic cooperation with Turkey, and this will deepen our relations further. Twenty-two Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft will be delivered to Turkey.”
