Washington Seeks Permanent Ceasefire in Sudan

According to the english section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, a U.S. State Department spokesperson told Newsweek, “We continue to work with our partners in the Quadruple Group to achieve lasting peace in Sudan.”
The spokesperson added, “We are focused on securing a humanitarian ceasefire and establishing a lasting ceasefire in Sudan.”
She further stated, “we are concentrating on stopping foreign support that fuels the conflict in sudan.”
A joint armed force in Darfur, western Sudan, accused Rapid Support Forces (RSF) of killing 2,000 civilians in the city of el Fasher on October 26 and 27.
The besieged city of El Fasher has witnessed intense fighting between the Sudanese army and RSF over recent days. On Sunday, RSF announced control over parts of the city including military headquarters.
It is reported that after seizing control of El Fasher, mass executions began there.
The joint armed forces fighting alongside the Sudanese army against RSF stated that RSF militias committed horrific atrocities against innocent civilians in El Fasher.They executed more than 2,000 unarmed citizens-mostly women, children, and elderly-in silence from the international community.
