UNICEF: Despite Ceasefire, One Million Palestinian Children Lack Water and Food

According to webangah news agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Shihab, UNICEF spokesperson announced that more than one million children in the Gaza Strip lack sufficient water and food. Despite the ceasefire, thousands of children go to bed hungry every night.
The spokesperson added, “The ceasefire is good news but it is not enough to end hunger in Gaza or provide drinking water to its residents.”
He stated that infrastructure in Gaza has been severely damaged, forcing palestinian families to struggle daily for survival amid hospital destruction and a shortage of medical aid. “We have not yet reached an adequate level of humanitarian assistance in Gaza. Thousands of Palestinian children suffer without medical help and medicines,” he said.
It is indeed noteworthy that Israel, despite claiming a ceasefire in Gaza, still restricts the entry of sufficient trucks carrying humanitarian aid into the strip.
