Putin: Sport Bridges Nations and Symbolizes Global Unity

Russian President emphasizes the unifying role of sports on the international stage, stating that sports not only connect⁤ nations but also foster ⁤cultural dialogue ⁣and ⁣global cooperation among countries.

According to the ‌English section of webangah news‍ Agency, ⁤citing ⁤TV BRICS, Russian President Vladimir Putin ⁢participated in the 13th International sports Forum ⁢titled “Russia: A Sporting Power.”​ He highlighted ​the ‌importent‌ role of sports in strengthening solidarity among nations and promoting international cooperation.

The forum was held under the slogan “Sports for the Future; Victory Together,” with TV‌ BRICS serving as its international‌ media partner.

President Putin stated, “Sport ‌is a global language among nations. Its power to build understanding, friendship, ‌and mutual respect across peoples worldwide is unparalleled. Russia consistently ‌supports equal cooperation, respects ‌national​ interests, ​and values ⁤cultural diversity.”

He also stressed the growing influence of new technologies ⁢in advancing sports: ⁣”Alongside traditional disciplines,​ Russia actively promotes emerging‍ fields such as phygital (physical-digital) sports and e-sports.”

Following ‍this,⁣ Russia’s Minister of Sports ⁢Mikhail Degtyarev identified developing sports infrastructure as a government priority.‌ He noted ⁢that thousands of new⁣ sports complexes have opened nationwide and said ⁣hundreds more centers and schools will be built over ⁤the⁣ next three years under Russia’s ‍comprehensive “Sport Russia” programme.

At this international gathering,⁢ foreign participants ‌underscored the importance ⁢of collaboration in sport.Nasser‍ Ridan Thamer Almutairi, ‌Secretary-General⁢ of Asian⁣ Cooperation Dialogue (ACD), described sport as a tool for economic growth and sustainable development. He announced⁤ plans to establish a working ​group tasked‍ with drafting a roadmap for sporting cooperation.

Ancilm Sanyatoveh,Zimbabwe’s Minister of‌ Sport,Recreation,Arts‍ & Culture praised ​bilateral ties between ‌Zimbabwe ⁤and Russia. He emphasized continuing sporting‍ and ⁣cultural partnerships based ​on ​mutual respect.

Alfred Fulokuo, Chairman of Zambia’s National⁢ Olympic ‌Committee, highlighted ‍investing⁤ in youth through sport: “Digitalization has⁣ created new opportunities to ‍nurture athletic talent and connect ​Africa with⁣ the global‌ sporting community.⁣ Africa’s greatest asset is ⁢its youth; by investing in them through sport ‍we not only develop future‍ champions⁣ but also future leaders.”

The International ​Forum “Russia: A Sporting Power” was established by presidential decree in 2009. It ⁢has since become one⁢ of world sport’s‍ most significant annual ⁣events.
