Egyptian and Russian Foreign Ministers Confer on Gaza Crisis

According to the english section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Russian news agency Russia Today, Egypt’s ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Saturday a phone consultation between Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Egyptian Foreign Minister badr Abdelatty.
In the statement from Egypt’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abdelatty expressed satisfaction with the strategic cooperation between Cairo and Moscow. He emphasized that this partnership “reflects the governing framework” for bilateral collaboration across various sectors.
The ministry’s statement highlighted the importance of continuing joint efforts to advance current projects, particularly the Dabaa nuclear power plant and the Russian industrial zone within the Suez Canal Economic Zone, which will enhance Russian investment in Egypt and expand cooperation between both sides.
During the call, developments in Gaza were also discussed. Abdelatty underscored Egypt’s efforts to solidify a ceasefire agreement in Gaza, ensure its sustainability, and achieve security and stability in the region.
